Can I get out of a gym membership contract?

I signed up for a year at a local gym. Problems started not even a month after I signed up. You get a free massage every 4 months so I scheduled mine last Thursday. The receptionist scheduled it at 11 so the massage therapist can "sleep late." They call me the next day saying "I need you to come earlier, someone called and wants the time you had." Really? So I went earlier. Then when I get there, the therapist told me she will have to hurry because the man coming after me gets here earlier and he wants a full hour... I signed up for a month of tanning at the same gym this week. I was told they will charge $15 for a month since I have a membership. Great. I get there Tuesday to tan and they charged an extra fee for glasses without telling me! Then I was told that they signed me up for a year of tanning...an automatic withdrawal from my account! So I "had" to give a thirty day notice to cancel that malarky. So I paid TWENTY bucks instead of fifteen, and I will be charged twice for two months instead of one. I am so completely disgusted with them. Not to mention after I got undressed today and got in the bed, it didn't work. They forgot to set it. I had to get dressed again and ask them to reset it. I agreed to a year at this gym...can I get out of it?
